Description
A crispy, savory snack inspired by Caesar salad flavors. These air fryer crisps are quick to make and packed with umami from anchovies and garlic.
Ingredients
- 1 can (2 oz) anchovies in oil, drained
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 slices whole wheat bread, cut into 1-inch squares
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Mash anchovies, garlic, olive oil, lemon zest, pepper, and salt into a paste.
- Spread mixture evenly on bread squares.
- Air fry for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Cool for 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For extra crispiness, spray bread lightly with oil before air frying.
- Substitute whole wheat bread with gluten-free if needed.
