Description
Make tender and flavorful beef tongue tacos using your air fryer for a quick and easy meal.
Ingredients
- 1 beef tongue (about 2-3 lbs)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
- 1/2 cup salsa
Instructions
- Rinse the beef tongue under cold water and pat dry.
- Rub the tongue with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, cumin, and paprika.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the seasoned beef tongue in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 30 minutes, then flip and cook another 30 minutes until tender.
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Peel off the outer skin and slice the tongue thinly.
- Warm the tortillas in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes.
- Fill each tortilla with sliced beef tongue, cilantro, onion, and salsa.
- Serve with lime wedges on the side.
Notes
- For extra tenderness, boil the beef tongue for 1 hour before air frying.
- Adjust seasoning to your taste.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
