Description
Crispy, golden churros with brown butter and cinnamon sugar, made easily in your air fryer.
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, browned
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden and fragrant. Set aside.
- In a pot, bring water, browned butter, sugar, and salt to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough forms.
- Let cool slightly, then beat in eggs one at a time until smooth.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star tip.
- Pipe 4-inch strips onto parchment paper, then freeze for 15 minutes.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly spray churros with oil and air fry for 8-10 minutes until golden.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl, then roll warm churros in the mixture.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Chill dough before piping for easier handling.
- Use a star tip for classic ridges.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
