Description
A simple and budget-friendly recipe for teriyaki chicken thighs cooked in an air fryer.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp minced ginger
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thicker sauce)
- 1 tbsp water (optional, for cornstarch slurry)
Instructions
- Mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger in a bowl.
- Add chicken thighs to the marinade and let sit for 30 minutes.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place chicken thighs in the air fryer basket and cook for 15 minutes.
- Flip the chicken thighs and cook for another 10 minutes.
- If using cornstarch, mix it with water and stir into the leftover marinade. Simmer in a pan until thickened.
- Brush the thickened sauce over the cooked chicken thighs before serving.
Notes
- You can skip the cornstarch if you prefer a thinner sauce.
- Marinate longer for more flavor (up to 4 hours).
- Check internal temperature of chicken—it should reach 165°F (74°C).
