Description

A simple and budget-friendly recipe for teriyaki chicken thighs cooked in an air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thicker sauce)
  • 1 tbsp water (optional, for cornstarch slurry)

Instructions

  1. Mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger in a bowl.
  2. Add chicken thighs to the marinade and let sit for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Place chicken thighs in the air fryer basket and cook for 15 minutes.
  5. Flip the chicken thighs and cook for another 10 minutes.
  6. If using cornstarch, mix it with water and stir into the leftover marinade. Simmer in a pan until thickened.
  7. Brush the thickened sauce over the cooked chicken thighs before serving.

Notes

  • You can skip the cornstarch if you prefer a thinner sauce.
  • Marinate longer for more flavor (up to 4 hours).
  • Check internal temperature of chicken—it should reach 165°F (74°C).
