Description
Crispy chicken nuggets cooked in an air fryer for a healthier twist, then drizzled with sweet and spicy hot honey.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken piece in the flour mix, then beaten eggs, then panko breadcrumbs.
- Place breaded chicken pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- In a small bowl, mix honey and hot sauce for the drizzle.
- Drizzle hot honey over the cooked nuggets before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, lightly spray the nuggets with cooking oil before air frying.
- Adjust hot sauce to taste for more or less heat.
- Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
