Description
A delicious twist on classic cream puffs, made with an air fryer for a lighter, crispier texture. These churro cream puffs are filled with sweet cream and dusted with cinnamon sugar.
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil.
- Add flour and stir until a dough forms. Remove from heat.
- Beat in eggs one at a time until smooth.
- Pipe dough into small mounds on an air fryer tray.
- Air fry for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Whip heavy cream and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Cut puffs in half and fill with cream.
- Roll in cinnamon sugar and serve.
Notes
- Let the dough cool slightly before adding eggs.
- Do not open the air fryer during cooking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
