Description
Crispy and golden air fryer churros coated in cinnamon sugar for a quick and delicious treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 tbsp cinnamon (for coating)
- Oil spray (for air fryer)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, salt, and oil. Bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough forms.
- Let the dough cool slightly, then mix in the egg until smooth.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star tip.
- Pipe 4-inch strips onto parchment paper, then freeze for 15 minutes.
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Spray churros with oil and air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Toss warm churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve immediately.
