Description
A flavorful and easy-to-make sandwich featuring jerk-seasoned chicken and Cotija cheese, cooked in an air fryer for a crispy finish.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup Cotija cheese, crumbled
- 1 tbsp jerk seasoning
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 brioche buns
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/4 cup sliced red onion
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Coat the chicken breasts with olive oil and jerk seasoning.
- Place the chicken in the air fryer basket and cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Remove the chicken and let it rest for 2 minutes, then slice.
- Toast the brioche buns in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes.
- Spread mayonnaise on the buns, then layer with lettuce, sliced chicken, Cotija cheese, and red onion.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust jerk seasoning to your preferred spice level.
- Cotija cheese can be substituted with feta if needed.
- For extra crispiness, spray the chicken lightly with cooking oil before air frying.
