Description
Crispy asparagus sticks made in an air fryer for a healthy and delicious snack or side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 bunch fresh asparagus (about 20 spears)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Trim the tough ends off the asparagus spears.
- In a shallow bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the egg.
- Dip each asparagus spear into the egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the coated asparagus in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Lightly spray or drizzle with olive oil.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
- For a gluten-free version, substitute gluten-free breadcrumbs.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
