Description
A quick and easy breakfast sandwich made with eggs, ham, and your choice of bread, cooked in an air fryer for a crispy texture.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread (whole wheat, white, or sourdough)
- 1 large egg
- 1 slice of ham
- 1 slice of cheese (optional)
- 1 teaspoon butter or cooking spray
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
- Lightly butter one side of each bread slice or coat with cooking spray.
- Place one bread slice, buttered side down, in the air fryer basket.
- Top with ham and cheese (if using).
- Crack the egg onto the sandwich, season with salt and pepper, and cover with the second bread slice, buttered side up.
- Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the egg is set and the bread is golden brown.
- Remove carefully, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
Notes
- For a runnier egg yolk, reduce cooking time by 1-2 minutes.
- Use any type of bread or substitute with an English muffin.
- Add vegetables like spinach or tomatoes for extra flavor.
