Description
A quick and easy version of the classic fish and chips, made healthier by using an air fryer.
Ingredients
- 2 white fish fillets (like cod or haddock)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 large potatoes, cut into fries
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Coat the fish fillets in flour, then dip in beaten egg, and finally roll in breadcrumbs mixed with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place the coated fish fillets in the air fryer basket.
- Toss the potato fries with olive oil and place them in the air fryer alongside the fish.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fish is golden and the fries are crispy.
- Serve hot with tartar sauce or ketchup.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, spray the fish and fries lightly with cooking oil before air frying.
- Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of the fish fillets.
- Use panko breadcrumbs for a crunchier texture.
