Description
A quick and easy way to make French toast using an air fryer for a crispy exterior and soft interior.
Ingredients
- 4 slices of bread (thick-cut works best)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp sugar (optional)
- Butter or cooking spray for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar.
- Dip each bread slice into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly.
- Lightly grease the air fryer basket with butter or cooking spray.
- Place the coated bread slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm with maple syrup, powdered sugar, or fresh fruit.
Notes
- Use stale bread for better absorption of the egg mixture.
- Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer model and desired crispiness.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the egg mixture.
