Description
Crispy potato cakes made with green chile and cheese, cooked in an air fryer for a healthier twist.
Ingredients
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
- 1/4 cup diced green chile
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Mix mashed potatoes, cheese, green chile, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Form the mixture into small patties.
- Brush each patty with olive oil.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place patties in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Use leftover mashed potatoes for best results.
- Adjust green chile quantity based on your spice preference.
- Serve with sour cream or salsa for extra flavor.
