Description
A delicious and easy-to-make dish combining crispy chicken tenders with creamy mac and cheese, all flavored with a sweet and spicy hot honey sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken tenders
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 cups cooked macaroni
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
- Mix breadcrumbs, flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in a bowl.
- Dip each chicken tender in beaten eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the coated tenders in the air fryer basket and cook for 12 minutes, flipping halfway.
- While the chicken cooks, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add milk and shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until the cheese is fully melted.
- Mix in the cooked macaroni and stir until well combined.
- In a small bowl, mix honey and hot sauce to make the hot honey sauce.
- Once the chicken is done, drizzle with the hot honey sauce.
- Serve the chicken tenders over the mac and cheese.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, spray the chicken tenders with cooking oil before air frying.
- Adjust the amount of hot sauce to control the spice level.
- Use gluten-free breadcrumbs and pasta for a gluten-free version.
