Ingredients
- 8 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Cut each mozzarella stick in half.
- In a bowl, mix almond flour, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the egg with water.
- Dip each mozzarella piece into the egg mixture, then coat with the almond flour mixture.
- Place coated sticks in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
- Air fry at 400°F for 5-6 minutes, until golden and crisp.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Freeze the coated mozzarella sticks for 10 minutes before air frying to help them hold shape.
- Serve with marinara or keto-friendly ranch dressing.
- Best eaten fresh to maintain crispiness.
