Description
Crispy vegetarian nuggets made with chickpeas and cooked in an air fryer for a healthy snack or meal.
Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Mash chickpeas in a bowl.
- Add breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Shape mixture into small nuggets.
- Brush nuggets with olive oil.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place nuggets in air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 10 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in the air fryer for best texture.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
