Description
Crispy and flavorful okra chips made in an air fryer with a Southern twist.
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh okra, sliced into thin rounds
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, toss the sliced okra with olive oil, salt, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Arrange the okra in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the okra is crispy and golden brown.
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, pat the okra dry before seasoning.
- Adjust the spices to your taste preference.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
