Description
A quick and easy version of the classic Chicken Cordon Bleu made in an air fryer oven for crispy results with less oil.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 slices ham
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Flatten the chicken breasts with a meat mallet.
- Layer each chicken breast with 2 slices of ham and 2 slices of Swiss cheese.
- Roll the chicken tightly and secure with toothpicks.
- Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Dip each chicken roll in beaten egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place in the air fryer basket and cook for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Remove toothpicks before serving.
Notes
- Use thin slices of ham and cheese for easier rolling.
- Check internal temperature—chicken should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
