Description
A quick and easy air fryer version of the classic Philly cheesesteak sandwich with tender beef, melted cheese, and sautéed peppers and onions.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Toss the sliced steak with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Place the steak in the air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes, stirring halfway.
- Add the sliced bell pepper and onion to the basket and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Divide the mixture into four portions and top each with 2 slices of provolone cheese.
- Return to the air fryer for 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Toast the hoagie rolls in the air fryer for 1 minute.
- Assemble the sandwiches and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the steak.
- Use a sharp knife or partially frozen steak for easier slicing.
- Substitute provolone with American or Cheez Whiz for a different taste.
