Description

A quick and easy air fryer version of the classic Philly cheesesteak sandwich with tender beef, melted cheese, and sautéed peppers and onions.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Toss the sliced steak with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Place the steak in the air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes, stirring halfway.
  4. Add the sliced bell pepper and onion to the basket and cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. Divide the mixture into four portions and top each with 2 slices of provolone cheese.
  6. Return to the air fryer for 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.
  7. Toast the hoagie rolls in the air fryer for 1 minute.
  8. Assemble the sandwiches and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the steak.
  • Use a sharp knife or partially frozen steak for easier slicing.
  • Substitute provolone with American or Cheez Whiz for a different taste.
