Description
Crispy and delicious shoestring fries made in an air fryer for a healthier alternative to deep-fried fries.
Ingredients
- 2 large russet potatoes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin shoestring strips.
- Soak the potato strips in cold water for 20 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Drain and pat the potatoes dry with a paper towel.
- Toss the potatoes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Remove and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, spray the fries lightly with cooking oil before air frying.
- Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
