Description
A quick and easy Christmas dinner made in the air fryer. Perfect for small gatherings or a stress-free holiday meal.
Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken (3-4 lbs)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 lb baby potatoes, halved
- 1 cup baby carrots
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (180°C).
- Pat the chicken dry and rub with olive oil.
- Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and thyme. Rub the mixture over the chicken.
- Stuff the cavity with lemon slices and crushed garlic.
- Place the chicken in the air fryer basket, breast-side down.
- Cook for 30 minutes, then flip and cook for another 20-25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Add potatoes and carrots around the chicken for the last 20 minutes of cooking.
- Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to check doneness.
- Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer model.
- For crispier skin, increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) for the last 5 minutes.
