Description
A hearty and flavorful Christmas goulash casserole made in an air fryer. This dish combines tender meat, rich spices, and vegetables for a comforting holiday meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef stew meat, cubed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup cooked egg noodles
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix beef cubes with paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Brown the beef for 3-4 minutes.
- Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Cook until softened.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, caraway seeds, beef broth, and tomato paste. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture to an air fryer-safe dish. Cover with foil.
- Air fry for 20 minutes, stirring halfway.
- Remove foil, add cooked egg noodles, and air fry for another 5 minutes.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- Substitute beef with chicken or mushrooms for a lighter option.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
