Description

A festive and easy-to-make casserole combining sausage and polenta, perfect for Christmas breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 1 (18 oz) tube polenta, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the sausage until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
  3. Layer half the polenta rounds in the air fryer basket.
  4. Spread half the cooked sausage over the polenta.
  5. Drizzle half the marinara sauce over the sausage.
  6. Sprinkle half the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses on top.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  8. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
