Description
Tender beef tongue tacos cooked in an air fryer for a crispy texture.
Ingredients
- 1 beef tongue (about 2 lbs)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
Instructions
- Clean the beef tongue and pat dry.
- Rub with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cumin.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place beef tongue in the air fryer basket and cook for 45 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Remove, let rest for 10 minutes, then slice thinly.
- Warm tortillas in the air fryer for 1 minute.
- Fill tortillas with sliced beef tongue, cilantro, onion, and a squeeze of lime.
Notes
- Beef tongue can be pre-boiled for 1 hour to shorten air fryer time.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Serve with salsa or avocado if desired.
