Description
A quick and easy high-protein grilled cheese made with cottage cheese and cooked in an air fryer for a crispy finish.
Ingredients
- 2 slices whole wheat bread
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp butter (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Spread cottage cheese evenly on one slice of bread.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Place the second slice of bread on top.
- Lightly butter the outer sides of the sandwich if desired.
- Place sandwich in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 5-6 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
- Remove and serve immediately.

- Use low-fat cottage cheese for fewer calories.
- Add sliced tomatoes or spinach for extra nutrients.
