Description

Crispy tofu nuggets made in an air fryer without oil, perfect for a vegan snack or meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup plant-based milk
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch


Instructions

  1. Press tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess water.
  2. Cut tofu into bite-sized nuggets.
  3. Mix breadcrumbs, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt in a bowl.
  4. In another bowl, whisk plant-based milk and cornstarch.
  5. Dip tofu pieces in the milk mixture, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Place nuggets in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  7. Air fry at 375°F for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
