Description
Crispy tofu nuggets made in an air fryer without oil, perfect for a vegan snack or meal.
Ingredients
- 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup plant-based milk
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
- Press tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess water.
- Cut tofu into bite-sized nuggets.
- Mix breadcrumbs, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt in a bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk plant-based milk and cornstarch.
- Dip tofu pieces in the milk mixture, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Place nuggets in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Air fry at 375°F for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Use extra-firm tofu for best results.
- Adjust spices to your taste.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
