Description
Crispy and flavorful wings coated in a sweet and smoky maple bourbon glaze, with crispy bacon bits. Perfect for game day or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
- Pat wings dry and season with smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and cayenne (if using).
- Arrange wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 12 minutes, flip, then cook another 12 minutes until crispy.
- While wings cook, combine maple syrup, bourbon, and soy sauce in a small saucepan. Simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Toss cooked wings in the glaze, then sprinkle with crumbled bacon. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, pat wings dry before seasoning.
- Adjust cayenne for more or less heat.
- If glaze thickens too much, add a splash of water.
