Description
Crispy and flavorful Japanese-style drumsticks cooked in an air fryer with a tangy ponzu glaze.
Ingredients
- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 1/4 cup ponzu sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp chopped green onions
Instructions
- Pat dry drumsticks with paper towels.
- Mix ponzu sauce, soy sauce, honey, ginger, garlic, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Coat drumsticks evenly with the marinade.
- Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place drumsticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 12 minutes, flip, and cook another 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, pat drumsticks dry again before air frying.
- Adjust cooking time based on drumstick size.
- Serve with steamed rice or a fresh salad.
