Ingredients
- 1 New York Strip steak (about 1 inch thick)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
- Pat the steak dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- Rub the steak with olive oil and season evenly with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika (if using).
- Place the steak in the air fryer basket and cook for 6-8 minutes for medium-rare (adjust time for desired doneness).
- Flip the steak halfway through cooking.
- Remove the steak and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- For a thicker steak, increase cooking time by 1-2 minutes.
- Use a meat thermometer for precise doneness (125°F for rare, 135°F for medium-rare, 145°F for medium).
- Letting the steak rest ensures juiciness.
