Description

Crispy mac-and-cheese sticks with a spicy buffalo twist, cooked to perfection in an air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix cooked macaroni, cheddar cheese, and buffalo sauce in a bowl.
  2. Spread the mixture in a lined dish and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  3. Cut into sticks.
  4. Dip each stick in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Place sticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  7. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway.
  8. Serve hot with extra buffalo sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Chilling the mac-and-cheese mixture makes it easier to cut.
  • For extra crispiness, spray the sticks lightly with oil before air frying.
