Description
Crispy mac-and-cheese sticks with a spicy buffalo twist, cooked to perfection in an air fryer.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked macaroni
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup buffalo sauce
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Mix cooked macaroni, cheddar cheese, and buffalo sauce in a bowl.
- Spread the mixture in a lined dish and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Cut into sticks.
- Dip each stick in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place sticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Serve hot with extra buffalo sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Chilling the mac-and-cheese mixture makes it easier to cut.
- For extra crispiness, spray the sticks lightly with oil before air frying.
