Description

A simple and delicious air fryer version of the classic chicken cordon bleu with crispy breading, juicy chicken, ham, and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
  3. Place two slices of ham and two slices of Swiss cheese on each chicken breast.
  4. Roll up the chicken tightly and secure with toothpicks.
  5. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. Dip each chicken roll in beaten egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  7. Brush the air fryer basket with olive oil and place the chicken rolls inside.
  8. Cook for 15-18 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and cooked through.
  9. Remove toothpicks before serving.

Notes

  • Use toothpicks to secure the rolls tightly to prevent filling from leaking.
  • Check internal temperature of chicken—it should reach 165°F (74°C).
  • For extra crispiness, spray the breaded chicken lightly with cooking oil.
