Description
A quick and tasty chicken parmesan sandwich made in the air fryer.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup marinara sauce
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 2 sub rolls
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F.
- Mix breadcrumbs, parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a bowl.
- Beat egg in another bowl.
- Dip chicken in egg, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Place chicken in air fryer basket and cook for 12 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Spread marinara sauce on chicken, top with mozzarella, and cook for 2 more minutes.
- Toast sub rolls lightly in the air fryer for 1 minute.
- Assemble sandwiches and serve.
Notes
- Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
- Adjust cooking time based on chicken thickness.
