Description

Crispy tofu coated in a spicy chili sauce, made quickly in an air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 400g firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 green onion, chopped (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Toss tofu cubes in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Place tofu in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes, shaking halfway.
  4. Mix soy sauce, chili sauce, honey, garlic powder, and ginger powder in a bowl.
  5. Toss cooked tofu in the sauce until fully coated.
  6. Air fry for another 3 minutes until crispy.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onion before serving.

Notes

  • Press tofu well to remove excess water for crispier results.
  • Adjust chili sauce to your preferred spice level.
  • Serve with rice or noodles for a complete meal.
