Description
A quick and tasty twist on the classic chicken cordon bleu, made in the air fryer for a crispy and delicious meal.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 slices of ham
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
- Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Layer 2 slices of ham and 2 slices of Swiss cheese on each chicken breast.
- Roll the chicken tightly and secure with toothpicks.
- Dip each roll in beaten egg, then coat with a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan.
- Lightly spray or brush with olive oil.
- Place in the air fryer basket and cook for 15-18 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and cooked through.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Use toothpicks to secure the rolls while cooking.
- Check internal temperature—chicken should reach 165°F (74°C).
- For extra crispiness, spritz with oil before air frying.
