Description
A quick and crispy grilled cheese sandwich made with French bread and cooked in an air fryer.
Ingredients
- 4 slices French bread (1/2 inch thick)
- 2 tbsp butter (softened)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Sprinkle cheese evenly on unbuttered side of two slices.
- Top with remaining slices, buttered side up.
- Place sandwiches in air fryer basket.
- Cook for 5 minutes, flip, then cook 3 more minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Use room temperature butter for easier spreading.
- Add sliced tomatoes or cooked bacon for variation.
- Check doneness after 6 minutes if using thinner bread.
