Description
Crispy shoestring french fries made in an air fryer with minimal oil.
Ingredients
- 2 medium russet potatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)
Instructions
- Wash and peel the potatoes.
- Cut them into thin shoestring strips.
- Soak the strips in cold water for 10 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Drain and pat dry with a clean towel.
- Toss the strips with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- For crispier fries, increase cooking time by 2-3 minutes.
