Description
Crispy gluten-free mozzarella sticks made in an air fryer for a healthier snack.
Ingredients
- 8 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 1 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Cut mozzarella sticks in half.
- Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a bowl.
- Whisk eggs in another bowl.
- Roll each mozzarella stick in flour, dip in egg, then coat with breadcrumb mix.
- Place coated sticks in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
- Cook at 400°F for 5-6 minutes until golden and crisp.
- Let cool for 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use cold mozzarella sticks to prevent melting too quickly.
- Check at 5 minutes to avoid overcooking.
- Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
