Description
Crispy chicken nuggets stuffed with mozzarella cheese and seasoned with Italian herbs, cooked in an air fryer for a healthier twist.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Mix ground chicken, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Take small portions of the mixture and flatten them in your palm.
- Place a pinch of shredded mozzarella in the center and fold the chicken around it.
- Dip each nugget in beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly spray the nuggets with cooking oil.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
- Serve hot with dipping sauce.
Notes
- Use lean ground chicken for best results.
- Ensure cheese is fully enclosed to prevent leakage.
