Description

A quick and easy air fryer version of the classic Margherita grilled cheese sandwich with melty mozzarella, fresh basil, and tomato.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 1 small tomato, sliced
  • 4-5 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 tsp olive oil


Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  2. Layer mozzarella, tomato, and basil on the unbuttered side of one slice.
  3. Top with the second slice, buttered side facing out.
  4. Brush the outside with olive oil.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Cook for 4-5 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
