Description
A quick and easy air fryer version of the classic Margherita grilled cheese sandwich with melty mozzarella, fresh basil, and tomato.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- 1 small tomato, sliced
- 4-5 fresh basil leaves
- 1 tbsp butter, softened
- 1 tsp olive oil
Instructions
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Layer mozzarella, tomato, and basil on the unbuttered side of one slice.
- Top with the second slice, buttered side facing out.
- Brush the outside with olive oil.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook for 4-5 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
Notes
- Use thick-cut bread for better texture.
- Add a pinch of salt and pepper for extra flavor.
- Check frequently to avoid burning.
