Description
A quick and easy patty melt made in the air fryer for a crispy, delicious sandwich.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 slices rye bread
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Shape ground beef into patties and season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook patties in the air fryer for 8 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Remove patties and set aside.
- Sauté onions in the air fryer for 3 minutes.
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Assemble sandwiches with patty, cheese, and onions.
- Air fry sandwiches for 3 minutes until golden and crispy.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef for less grease.
- Adjust cooking time based on patty thickness.
- Serve with pickles or mustard for extra flavor.
