Description

Crispy portobello mushroom fries loaded with toppings, made quickly in the air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 2 large portobello mushrooms, sliced into fries
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions
  • 2 tbsp sour cream (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Dip mushroom slices in beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Place mushrooms in air fryer basket in a single layer.
  5. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  6. Transfer to a plate, drizzle with melted butter, and top with cheddar cheese.
  7. Return to air fryer for 1-2 minutes to melt cheese.
  8. Garnish with green onions and serve with sour cream if desired.
