Description
Crispy and flavorful Asian-inspired drumsticks cooked in the air fryer with a sweet and tangy mustard honey glaze.
Ingredients
- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat dry the drumsticks with a paper towel.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, mustard, brown sugar, garlic powder, ginger powder, black pepper, and sesame oil.
- Coat the drumsticks evenly with the marinade.
- Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the drumsticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 20-22 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Check the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onion before serving.
Notes
- Marinate longer for deeper flavor.
- Adjust honey or mustard for preferred sweetness or tanginess.
- For crispier skin, pat dry again before air frying.
