Description

Crispy and flavorful falafel made easily in your air fryer. Perfect for wraps, salads, or as a snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried chickpeas, soaked overnight
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp olive oil


Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse the soaked chickpeas.
  2. Add chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper to a food processor. Pulse until finely chopped.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl. Stir in baking soda and flour.
  4. Shape into small patties or balls.
  5. Brush with olive oil.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Cook falafel for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Do not use canned chickpeas.
  • Let the mixture rest for 30 minutes for better texture.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
