Description
Crispy and flavorful Za’atar dusted chicken nuggets made in the air fryer for a healthier twist.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp za’atar spice blend
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix chicken pieces with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each piece in beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Place nuggets in air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- Sprinkle za’atar over hot nuggets before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, spray lightly with oil before air frying.
- Serve with yogurt or tahini sauce for dipping.
- Leftovers keep well in fridge for 3 days.
